BOATS AND CANALS

I have a bit of a thing about the HST. I first went on one as a student in the 1970s. They were offering a trip to Swansea and back for 125p each way.

I went on a couple yesterday. The first was Reading to Charlbury via Oxford. We hit 118 just before Didcot. I can back from Charlbury all the way to Paddington. We managed 125 before Reading.

In the summer Jo and I travelled back from Scarborough and, by chance, were on a non stop HST from York to London.

I have been trying to find the longest non stop HST route and I think the York to London might be it.

Any other ideas?
