We are now moored at Polesworth on the Coventry Canal. 12 hours 40 mins cruising today and 42 locks. A bit devine to ridiculous today. We started in the middle of a very nice regenerated Birmingham then went through industrial decay, suburban sprawl and now are in open countryside. 19 hours and 15 locks to go. Reverse is playing up and we have to be cautious as brakes don't necessarily come on when you want. Cheers Graham

Just moored at 9.45 just above Hillmorton locks. We set out at 7.30 this morning. Just 15 locks today. No more locks tomorrow, we have done 181 in less than a week. Short cruise back to Calcutt tomorrow and then home. Photos to follow. Cheers Graham

Home tomorrow, and put your feet up and have a rest for a short while.

Well done to you and your crew. :D

Back home now, the crew have all decided to do it again next year. We did 147 miles and 181 locks.

I took a time lapse video from the front of the boat. It need a little tweek I think - probably increase the frequency.

Here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTAeDX-85wc

Cheers Graham

But did you see the parrot? (don't waste your time looking - I think it is up for one frame only! Just before the curving tunnel under Moor Street Station.)

I'm still having an inquisition as to who moved the camera just before the Netherton Tunnel.

For next time take two 8 Gig cards and record both days at twice the rate.

Cheers Graham

All the crew are up for it again, general vote if to come back through Warwick though, the lengthy cruising sections on the Coventry/Northern Oxford didn't suit.

Chris has just bought a boat so she might bring it as well and we can do a convoy. Slight snag is its Aylesbury mooring!

Cheers Graham
