As you are aware I join in a church service on Zoom on Sundays mornings, and I host an informal church chat on Wednesday mornings. The husband of one of the 'attendees' started modelling in March after she had bought him a Hornby Flying Scotsman to sit on the mantle piece as an ornament.
This prompted him to start a layout, his wife knowing that I have layouts suggested that he had a chat with me, this developed in us having a separate Zoom meeting each week just for us. I had a lot of odds and ends that I no longer required that would be ideal for someone just starting out, so I passed them on to him during my morning walks.
He knew that I wanted one of these steam wagons and he has just called with a present for me, and yes
I GOT ONE,. Thank you Les and Mary,
I must stress that during the visits I did not go into their house and social distancing was observed at all times.
