it's head down the water tank hatch with paint brush on Thursday, well maybe Friday but we'll be on the boat on Thursday. It's my job to undo all those hard bolts and to hold Jo's feet legs in the air! That's what I reckon anyway. We'll have IT with us this time courtesy of Jo's new Netbook. So I'll post some horror pics. This one will run off our mini-inverter whilst her laptop wouldn't. It also has an internal docking port for the 3G card so I might try that. Mind you to get a decent signal I usually hang the dongle out of the window!

The boat also is going to get a late spring clean as the Queen (daughter) is coming in a few weeks complete with kids and husband. Husband is in the Army and wants to do locks (I think it's a macho thing) so it's down to Warwick and if time permits up Hatton flight.

Progress was delayed by du vin, du pain and du cheese (anyone seen the advert) in the picnic area here at Calcutt. Then we carried on - the colour of the water near the bottom was gross. There was a strange build up of hard crud on the bottom and some things which I think I saw last on photos of the Titanic hanging on the side. It is clean on the bottom now and is drying out with a fan heater. The metal seems quite good.

Half empty and the crud on the bottom shows.

This was the sides.

We've scraped, wire brushed, vactaned, bitumined and now it looks like:-

Jo seems to enjoy the process!!
