Dotterel has passed it's BSS. There were a couple of minor bits of remedial work to do. These were:-

1) Protect the gas pipes in gas locker where they enter the steel trunking on either side.
2) Secure gas pipe under the starboard gunnel by the side door.

Cost me £23.75 for the boatyard to fix.

We're spent a happy weekend on the boat, we had meant to
spend it painting but the snow said otherwise. We did do a few things
though:-

1) I managed to change the fuel filter. Checking the layout against
one in the Canal Boat mag suggested it should bleed the high pressure
side by itself. I bleed the low pressure side until the filter filled up
and then started the engine, it ran smoothly right away.

2) Jo has more or less finished the art work on the inside opposite the
hatch. It's her interpretation of a castle scene.

3) We fitted a new cd/radio but the aerial seems to be playing up.

4) We got the loo pumped out in the old marina at Calcutt, the only
snag being the wind blowing us on to the bank. We got out by the
Calcutt engineer holding the front while we had just about full power
on with the rudder trying to put the nose through the bank so the
back came out. Then it was reverse out into the middle and do a 180
without being blown back in.

5) We've put on some vinyl letters from Funky Monkey to claim the
boat. It says Odnarg's which I think I've explained before.

6) We also managed a bit of painting.

The weather was a bit like this
