Survey arranged, and wait! The survey came through with some minor work needing doing. A replacement bit of metal on the hull and a new screw on the gas stove – the boat yard agreed to do both so that was OK
This is the area on the hull which needed a bit of sacrificial metal welded on (in yellow).
So it was all going ahead. We decided to see if Calcutt still had space, amazingly they had a choice of moorings so we decided to go there as it is a bit more convenient for us and has more choice of weekend cruises.
The necessary work was completed. The hull blacked and anodes put on. Now we just had to wait for the cheque to clear.
We went to Calcutt and admired ‘our’ pontoon. Hope the neighbours are nice, The boat yard staff were very nice indeed.
Insurance was arranged, river rescue level decided on and the completion occurred.
