We are sorting out my Mum's house (she is in an old folks home now and doing well!). I came across my first railway book given to me when I was 3.

DMU's didn't turn up were I lived for a while, I have some memories of steam hauled trips into London Marylebone. They were around when I started train spotting and we called them Pods. Steam was still used in the Goods Yard for shunting. A GWR prairie fly shunting was fun to watch. Cheers Graham |

Cheers Graham Those were the days I remember watching the coal trains around Castleford Yorkshire, and near Cramlington Northumberland. I would watch as long as I was allowed. I had started working before I saw a DMU. Then they were everywhere. Glencairn |
