Did anyone watch the film the other night on the TV "Yanks" a real feast of steam trains mostly around what is now Gt Manchester there were good shots of the Manchester Ship Canal also,I remember seeing the film crew in London Road station ( now called Piccadilly).Made in 1979 it depicted depicted times towards the end of WW2. A little more digging found that all the steam shots were filmed on the Worth Valley railway. |
