Progress! I've got some primer on the platforms.

Image

I've been making little removable boxes to go over the wires which connect to the Triang point motors.

Image

And I've got on fairly well with the new baseboards. There is about 8 feet to go before I complete the boards all round the wall.

Cheers Graham

New baseboards complete.

This will have the double track Triang circuit and some storage sidings on this level with a modern standard station above.

Thanks, I've been busy extending the Triang circuits. The sections of track on the new boards are so far from the controller that I've run some big wires under the baseboards connected up to the track on every other section on the surface lines or every section on those which will eventually be hidden. Track is temporarily laid across the lifting section to make sure everything works. I'll now do it properly.

Have a look at https://youtu.be/jgN5Dp9gstc

I've demolished the old entrance to the tunnel under the castle and intend to build something like the one on the other side.

Cheers Graham

I've now permanently laid the track across the lifting section and wired it. I've put a fairly primitive catch at top top stop it falling down.

I used some copper clad board to strengthen the track where it crosses the gap. Not too pretty but strong!

It works!!

It works that is the main thing, pretty, well. it can always be disguised later on perhaps with a dab of paint if it bothers you. :D

I might paint it, it is on the non scenic section, the boards are just grey and there is no ballast.

Cheers Graham

I've started work on the new tunnel mouth - another grade 1 listed building to complement the castle.
