I have for some time now wanted to build a Manor House akin to our family home, Winter Manor. Having moved things around a little, space has been made available for such a building, though not to the full size. The Metcalfe Manor Farm House kit is of a similar stonework, therefore one was purchased. When Lady G saw the kit, she remarked how similar it was to her old home in Caldbeck, Cumbria.

The 'brain matter' began to work overtime. Maybe I could combine both homes into one? 'Plans' were drawn up and 'Winterwood Manor' is born.

The builders are in. The main part of the building.

I am now waiting for it be photographed in its place on the layout.

If for any unfortunate reasons it is to big or doesn't quite fit in, I have an excellent empty space waiting to be filled, it's the ideal place for it and it will be in a good home.

Having seen the 'free gift' of the Metcalfe Coal Office in the Railway Modeller' I thought it would make a small 'Mess Room' for the Railway Staff at Leeds Sovereign street station. Here is the made up building. A little tidying up to finish it off to do.
