I am very grateful for this gift, but unfortunately for me there is an issue with the couplers. Whist in keeping in style with the loco and normal Hornby couplers would look ridiculous, they are too small ad fiddly for me. Maybe I will cope with tweezers.

Good luck - things can be way too fiddly sometimes. The connection from my Big Boy engine to the tender went via a tiny plug which plugged into a socket which was recessed in a box like structure on the tender. Magnifying glasses, tweezers and a modicum of old fashioned English finally connected it.

PS I just watched a review and indeed, the reviewer used tweezers to hook on and then push the chain down slightly over the hook.
