Graham to confirm, we had ordered the plastic sheets tonight, so it's now a case of sit back and wait for them to be delivered.

Excellent, it shouldn't take too long.

Cheers Graham

That depends on Chris, but he is having it delivered to him at work, where he can cut the various straights and curves on a band saw,

Chris has let me know the boards are being delivered (to work) on Tuesday, he is off until Wednesday but that's not an issue. Once he has cut them hopefully it won't be long before he fits them. We can then lay the track, sort out the bridge and electrics.

The lock gates repaired and in their places but not yet fixed.

Next, fix the gates in place and seal the lock chambers and canal.

The full size panels 8 ft by 4 ft were too big to cut the curves on the band saw, space restrictions to manoeuvre the panels amongst other things.

Chris decided to cut a few with a jig saw.

The rest he cut on the band saw.

He cut the second panel in half with the jig saw, he could then cut all the straights on the band saw.

I did help by holding the panels during the cutting.

.....and a little bit more.

The Pitchforth Aqueduct.

The lock gate are now fixed in place, I will need to seal the lock chambers and the canal later on.

The aqueduct is only sitting in its place, so that it can be lifted out of the way when we install the track base panels and the track.

Is the aqueduct removable when you have finished?

Cheers Graham

Thanks Graham, I am pleased with it as is Chris. I actually prefer the green to the grey wood, Chris said it's BR green, it does have speckles in it but you can only see them close up.
