Burnley Embankment known locally as 'The Straight Mile' is almost a mile (1609m) long and in some places it is up to 65 ft (19.81m) high. It carries the Leeds and Liverpool Canal through Burnley and is listed as one of the wonders of the UK Canal Network

Star of Hope - Church of St Mark: A Grade II Listed Building in Marske-by-the-Sea

The Star lit and a shining is a ray of hope. We erected the Christmas Star on the tower. It is lit from dawn till dusk at Advent until the 12 night after Christmas. When lit it can be seen for several miles in all directions.
