I should imagine that it is very interesting and down to earth read.

Fred gave his first talk the MB&BCS and appeared the cover of their magazine in 1992. He became President in 1999 and is still listed in the magazine as Late President: Fred Dibnah MBE.

last night I finished reading this book,a fascinating insight into one mans life and times.I have been in no hurry to finish it, it was like an old friend on the bedside table.I can relate to much that was written, and indeed I have have known some of the folk mentioned in its pages.Much of interest to the canal enthusiast who share many of the same aspirations as Fred and the same tenacity in their efforts in the restoration movement.
Seek a copy out you won't be disappointed.
