The dates and end point of the 2019 challenge have been set. It is the 25th/26th May.

The end point is interesting - Oosels Street Loop. So Laurie can just moor at his favourite starting point and wait for everyone to join him the next day!

Dotterel will be taking part again I hope.

Cheers Graham

Cheers Graham

Hi Graham,

I have not heard a thing.
I must admit I think the finishing point is very bad, where are all the boats going to moor etc...

I would have chosen "John The Lock" moorings Tipton.

Cheers for now
:)

I got bored of waiting so emailed the organisers. They said that the application forms and cruise planners will be available in the new year.

Cheers Graham

I have heard a rumour that Laurie my be a serious competitor this year, something about starting from Fazeley. Extra points for the start and lots of locks to the end. I am seriously worried having lost to Laurie last year. Cheers Graham

Yep moving mooring has upset my plans for the BCN challenge.

The gentleman who had taken over organising the challenge has had to stand down for personal reasons so Richard and Sue from Tawny Owl have taken on the job. Tawny Owl has won on a number of occasions so perhaps Laurie is in with a chance.

If anyone wants to enter email bcnchallenge@gmail.com.

Cheers Graham

I have received the application form and will send it off today. Dotterel will leave for Brum in 14 weeks and 27 minutes.
