I hope you’ve been able to get out on the water in this sensationally warm spell? Even if you haven’t, you may have visited your local towpath. As you ambled along how many cyclists and runners passed you? A few I bet.
On most towpaths we’re all able to considerately enjoy our time. We appreciate, though, that there are some areas where speeding cyclists and runners don’t embrace the ‘Share the Space, Drop your Pace’ mantra.
As you can see in the picture, we’re using our very own sleeping Policeman to remind people that everyone needs a space to breathe and unwind from the stresses of everyday life so take it slow. We love to see cyclists and runners on our towpaths but not if they’re going too fast so we’re asking them, for their sake and others, if you want to go fast, take a different route.
