http://www.thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk/ ... _Sparrow_/ Whilst a good article the 70 year claim is a mile wide from the truth I had a friend in the sixties who regularly took his boat all the way to Kendle I am not sure of the dates but could have been the 50s. |

The media often get things wrong either because they don't check the information given to them by their source, or they bend the truth to make a more impressive story. |
