Accessible Boating are supporting an event in Fleet tomorrow, It is a festival led by the churches of Fleet called an Environment and Faith Festival. The theme this year is climate change and we have lent them Dawn - our day boat.

The boat decorated with animals made from recycled materials created by local children will host a climate change debate involving our local MP, school children and community leaders. Spectators should head for the bridge at Reading Road South around 12.15!

Today we took Dawn from Odiham to Fleet it took about 3.5 hours.

Here is one of our committee, Steve, with a new volunteer Tim (driving)

We passed 3 moving boats - quite unusual for the Basingstoke.

The swing bridge opened easily so I think someone has greased it.

I rather like the footbridge at Malthouse Bridge but the main bridge has been damaged quite severely by a vehicle.
