It is Banbury Canal day on the 5th October. See http://www.banbury.gov.uk/Banbury-Town-Council/banbury_canal_day-5161.aspx

Is anyone going? The theme this year (apart from canals!) is Cowboys and Indians so we will look like this.

I trust then that your transport will be horses and not your boat. :D

Have a great time and I know that you will record your visit with an excellent set of photographs.

We had a good time at Banbury Canal day. They were a few others in Western gear and a smattering of cowboy hats. It was packed. We had a slight problem with the camera as, for some photos, we didn't notice it was set on manual mode with settings for extremely poor light. I managed to use GIMP to get something reasonable for the one of Jo and I.

This young lady was playing a saw!!

Canal and River Trust spent a day trawling the canal in Banbury and found this lot! Actually this is about a third the other two thirds of the boat are full too.

Most boats were decorated.

And the stalls were doing well.

We went around Tolley's boatyard and were a bit disappointed to find the Chandlers has been replaced with a tourist attraction. This included some very average model railways.

Thanks for the photographs Graham, but what I want to know is 'who got all the pounds back' on the returned trollies. :D
