On the 27th June 2014, Jill And I (Gary) will be moving onto our boat, The Goose as we have sold the Bungerlow, and now we are going to live on her, well until we find the Dutch barge we want that is.
The Goose is 44 foot long and 11 wide, 1 bedroom, Its a Bounty Buccaneer, from the Broads, over the last 3 years I have been fitting it out so that we could start to use her, new Engine, new electric flushing loo, new Alde heating system, and new galley.
Now it's almost ready, we have decided to get a Dutch Barge in Europe.

Hello Gary and Jill, welcome to the forum.

Good luck with your move and hope it will be everything that you want it to be. A dutch barge, now that is something.

Welcome Gary and Jill, and good luck with the Bounty. The Dutch barge idea has more appeal, I must admit, but I do remember (dim distant past) having a Broads holiday with my parents on something very similar to your Buccaneer. It was a one-off, and we went back to canal holidays the following season, but it was certainly different!

Friends of mine live on a Dutch Barge and it is fantastic. Will you be keeping both boats or selling the Goose?

Thanks guys, I must admit that the Dutch Barge idea is life changing, as it will limit us to where we can cruise, but then again it opens us up to most of Europe, so it's a win win for us.
