That is sad. Prunella Scales and Timothy West are the patrons of the charity I belong too - Accessible Boating and have always taken time to turn up at events such as our 25th anniversary.

Watched it, enjoyed it, must remember to watch the other three. :D

It was good to see how well Prunella copes her condition and that still enjoys herself as does Timothy.

And mine

Enjoyed the program, and yes, very open. It might give other sufferers a glimmer of hope and encouragement.

Jo can steer Hadar quite competently, but hasn't gone through a lock yet. It is a different kettle of fish with a loaded working boat weighing 30tonnes. One day she will do it I am sure, but I am not going to force her to do it, in her own time.

She'll get there.

Another very enjoyable programme, it's a pity there are only four programmes in the series.

I can't help but comment on the announcer introducing the programme as their trip on a barge on the Rochdale canal.

Next Week Episode 3 - The Llangollen Canal

Includes the Vale of Llangollen and the Pontcysyllte aqueduct. A detour on the Montgomery canal, and Tim visits the Llangollen steam railway. They also take a trip on a horse-drawn barge up to the famous Horseshoe Falls.

Excellent program, giving us something to look forward to as we are moving "Sorceress" up to Sawley Bridge in two weeks.
In the mean time we will be having one more trip up the "Colden" next week, if Ivy Bridge is back in operation. Lookely we won't have snow this time!
