That was a rough storm, not the kind of thing that you want on a cruise. How was your cruise over all and did you get any good weather?

We got 3 good days out of 14. Managed to get to Venice which was great. Property prices a bit on the high side.

The storm got so bad that the captain put steel plates over the lower deck portholes, much to the annoyance of some of the passengers. I'm sure the captain had the safety of the passengers/crew/ship over riding the passengers view out of the portholes.
We did get some good weather but missed going to visit some countries.
:)

It amazes me how some people moan when their lives and the ship could be in danger. The Nelson spirit just disappears

Only once have I been in a hurricane ----- crossing to New York on QE2. Speed down to less than 7knots. The whisky tasted really good

Also been on Uganda (pre Falklands) when everything was battened down, portholes, lounge windows and cabin picture windows. Those were the days

Has it put me or Lady G off?

Heck no! Been on a ship most years since those days 8)

Hope you are not put off by your experience and continue cruising.
