Quick progress report 21 balloons have burst, we had a little trouble with low water in Rushall locks, haven't seen many boats and got stoned by local kids at Birchills. Heading for night time mooring at Bradley Workshops. Currently about 30 mins late against the plan.

We have arrived at the end and are moored next to Laurie on Oosels Street Loop. We have cruised for 23.75 hours in the 30 hour period. This is the first time we have arrived early!

More photos and an in depth analysis will occur in the Blog when I get home.

We came 15th, Laurie worked really hard to come last this year!


We are currently at Catherine de Barnes and struggling with an electrical fault and a rudder that has come out of its cup.

We have gratefully accepted the offer of help from a guy on another forum who has a dry suit and will get in the canal to sort out the rudder.

The electrical fault is something to do with the engine loom to boat loom connector.

Back home now and in the bath but only after a celebratory dinner out with my beloved. As for next year who knows, the boat took too much damage this year. I may have a cunning plan though.
