super graham many thanks,
towards the end of your trip you turn at the winson green junction on to the soho loop,i grew up round there and as the entrance onto the towpath was on winson green road just up from the prison we always called it the winson green canal.
it wasn't till many years later that i found its real name,
half way round the loop was a arm that went for about 300yds under lodge road to a dead end where there was a coal yard and me and my brother would take a wheel barrow to fetch coal on a saturday morning, luckily it was all downhill coming home.
adjacent to the prison was all saints hospital which was a mental hospital,my mother worked there in the laundry, shirts and jeans came back pressed like cardboard, later she was in charge of the doctors rooms,it has long since gone and is now a large housing estate, it has always been a very popular fishing venue as you can see and anglers would travel from miles to fish it on a sunday.

As I said earlier I have downloaded the video. I burnt it to a dvd to watch on Tv, whilst I was watching I was also playing a selection of my favourite instrumental classic music.

I enjoyed the video, although I am sure you were breaking the 3 to 4 mph limit.

It brought back many happy memories of my canal holidays, particularly the locks, that we also enjoyed. :D

Thanks Graham.

If only I could get round Brum that fast! The video is recorded at 1 frame a second and replayed at 20 frames a second. I should really add music but I am not sure where to get music which I am allowed to put on YouTube.

Cheers Graham
