BOATS AND CANALS

This is a photograph that I took many, many years ago, it does hold pleasant memories but as you can see the quality is lacking. It is over a field that used to be the Uttoxeter Canal.

If any one has a better one I would really appreciate a copy, please?

I have been pointed in the right direction for new photographs, it is not in Uttoxeter over the Uttoxeter canal as first thought, hence the change in the subject title.

On my earlier visits to Uttoxeter, I used to take walks around the area and often visited Doveridge a nearby village, and this is where the suspension bridge is, over the river Dove.

Interesting. I used to drive through, and later past, Doveridge every day. I obviously knew about the old packhorse bridge, which is visible from the road, but this is a new one to me.
