Please everyone, stop knocking John Sargent. It's the program directors, producers, reserchers and final editers that are to blame. John Sargent is given a script to work to and althoe tries his best, is been let down by all the other departments, including the TV chanel, for only putting out a 25 min' program which is a disgrace, because we all know it can't be done,This is letting the English Waterways down by not giving it the correct typy of coverage it deserves.

As Programs go I thought last night program was the best yet, but thats not saying much.I agree that we should not blame the presenter, its the production team that produced the script. Some good camera shots.

No disrespect to either of you, what you do is your own business and I have no objections to that. My comment refers to the amount of time over all the programmes that has been spent on him in his pyjamas. when in my opinion more time could have been spent on the actual waterways.

Time wasted on showing things not relivent was something i commented about when the program was in Leeds, about being in the Taylors shop, and missed out on other relivent and more important parts of the canal system.
Yes i agree there is alot of air time wasted.

i was totally amazed with this episode,i did enjoy it but as many have said,so much is missed out,
from painters at the canal side at great hayward the next step he was in burton upon trent at the brewery,
now i know i am biased as it's my local but not a mention of the ( mucky duck ) the swan at fradley, which is i believe one of the busiest set of locks on the system, with the coventry canal junction and known by all boaters but not a fleeting glance..

still at least it's better than nothing
