Very disturbing, but it's not the canal itself that's killing them. There is a mysterious aspect to so many deaths, but the piece infers that most are either suicides or being dumped there by someone else, and they are almost exclusively men ... which rather rules out the idea that they're all falling in because they're too pissed on a Saturday night.
