River and Canal Rescue have lost their head office in a Fireworks factory fire at Stafford. They say:-

"This evening, due to a fire at our head office, our emergency lines are now down, we are working to rectify this as quickly as we can. If any member or non member has broken down, please contact and use pur general enquiries line on, 01785 785 680. Everyone is safe and we will try our best to provide assistance but please bare with us. Kind regards, River canal rescue"

Another tragedy.

It is being reported on BBC Breakfast News this morning.

The River and Canal Rescue say everyone is safe but BBC say that there is one missing, hopefully more positive information will be forthcoming throughout the day.

RCR now say their their services are back to normal. Unfortunately two people died in the factory itself - an employee and a customer.
