A great project, let's hope they can get the funding to go ahead and that it's more successful than Foxton.

I think it might be easier than Foxton as it isn't on the site of a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Cheers Graham

I remember such a link being proposed some 30 years ago or more,locks would use a lot of water,an Anderton style boat lift would be possible or even a smaller Falkirk type wheel. This is first time a Foxton type has been proposed I think the various option should be costed to put the idea into perspective.
